Rainy & Cloudy

6:30 AM - wake up

hotel breakfast, undrinkable coffee

7:42 AM - on the road

7:43 AM - driving very slowly behind a cop, he isn’t even going the speedlimit

Spot still behaving disturbingly well

8:14AM - gas stop, 34.59 MPG

8:21 - replaced fuse for cigarette lighter so we can continue to listen to HP

Listen to NPR for a while to drive Em crazy

8:24 - passed a corn field

8:25 - passed a corn field

8:26 - passed a corn field

8:27 - John hits brakes to scare a tailgater

8:28 - Emilie is coloring in her new My Little Pony Suprize ink book

8:29 AM - John uses foul language

8:33AM - decide that DUKE TRAVEL PLAZA coffee sucks much

8:35 AM - Pass Gander Mountain Store

8:38 AM - we get on 270 S Columbus Bypass

8:55 AM - Back on 70 W Columbus behind us.

9:04 - passed a cornfield

9:42 - Rest Stop

9:56 - back on road with Krispy Kremes

10:01 - brushed Krispy Kreme frosting from John’s shirt –

called mom, we are having roast beef tonight

10:32 AM - crossed into Indiana (162 mi.)

11:02 AM - finished HP#1

11:08 AM - 200 mi.

11:11 AM - more corn fields

11:52 AM – Pass Indianapolis

listen to ‘If I had a million $$’ twice

12:31- fill up (297 mi) and got lunch

1:05 - back on Rd

1:16 PMIllinios State Line (320 mi.)

(ALL TIMES IN EST BECAUSE WE CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX THE CLOCK)

1:36 PM - Corn on both sides of te road .. a lot of corn.. still more corn

1:43 PM - 356 mi.

2:30 PM – Pass exit sign for St Elmo, make fire joke (400 mi)

2:32 PM – become bored enough to play license plate game.. (the state you are in doesn’t count and neither do semi’s)

2:59 PM – FCI Greenville, looks a lot like a nice hotel

3:37 PM - Missouri State Line (480 mi)

3:58 PM – 503 mi

FIXED THE CLOCK

5:45 PM – 569 mi. gas stop

5:56 PM – 578 mi. Reynolds County Line

6:28 PM – 606 mi. Shipman Ridge Rd.
